CONTRACT.
For two weeks I visted the Philippines for a family reunion and i was assigned to take pictures to make up for the time I was gone from school. Im alittle disappointed with my pictures, street photography was very difficult, street photography is not my taste or style. I was very nervous of taking other's picture with out permission, At times my camera would malfunction because of the extreme heat and weather conditions in the Philippines...I was also cautious, when holding my camera in public, there're tons of snacthers in the Philippines, that would do anything for money. I know, personal, I could do better. If my time wasn't so busy with family and traveling on the road, I would've organized and manged my time into taking more pictures. But on the other hand, I've gotten to see my family, that I haven't seen in 9 years. It was great.
SENIOR X 1
Along with my first attempt to doing double exposure in photoshop, this is the second picture in this series. Although i followed the same steps as SENIOR X 1, this picture did not follow through, i personal don't like it but with my eyes it works. It lets me think about the things i need to work on, and progress. Like SENIOR X 1 this was just another experiment, but not as expected. I keep this picture to show progression, so i can compare my steps. slowly, but surely.

This is my first attempt to doing double exposure in photoshop without watching any tutorial videos, this was just a quick experiment. I ended up loving this picture. I believe its one of the best picture i ever did in photo class. Experimenting is very important to me, i find most of my potential experimenting pictures before actually following a tutorial.
This picture was simply done with eraser tool, slowly fading the portrait picture and merging it with the back ground picture, originally the portrait has color but i decided to make it black and white to match the wood palest in the back. Before finishing the picture, i lowered the opacity and overlay the picture. I'm Thinking about doing the same concept with other pictures. SENIOR X 2

SENIOR X 3,4, & 5
This series is my 3rd attempt into Double exposure in photoshop, and i absolutely love these 3 pictures. They are one of the best i've done so far. My favorite part of this series is that i don't even know what they mean to me. I let my imagination run free and let my hands do the work. But i have a feeling this series reflects my stresses in life. My Relationships, My Mom and School.
Other than the significant, I love the textures and the colors of this series, they all work and all relate to each other |
SENIOR X 6,7 & 8
This is my 4th attempt, here in this series ive tried different textures of wood, different textures from attempt number 3. The colors are much much brighter and it gives an uplifting, revived mood compared to attempt number 3. Still the same meanings, my emotions take over most of my influences in my pictures. During the process of this pictures ive felt much better and like the sun had shine on me and regenerated my mind, body and spirit.
